Smart Trade Promotes Margaret Bailey to New Position of Vice President, Sales and Business Development, North America

The appointment is effective immediately. Ms. Bailey, US sales manager since October 2006, will continue to report to Harry Gozlan, founder and chief executive officer who is based in Smart Trade’s Paris office.

Ms. Bailey has been instrumental in building a strong base of tier one bank, broker-dealer and large hedge fund client contacts in New York, Chicago, Boston, Toronto and Montreal as well as expanding the firm’s sales presence and brand initiative. She also assisted in launching Smart Trade’s LiquidityOrchestrator, an advanced smart order router (SOR), one of four components in the upgraded smartTrade Transaction Platform (STTP) 5.5, the industry's only single vendor, cross-asset, liquidity management solution encompassing SOR, liquidity aggregation, internal crossing and connectivity, recently introduced in April in Paris at the TradeTech Europe 2008 conference.

Bailey moved to Smart Trade in October 2006, bringing over 20 years of experience in financial markets and financial software sales. Her focus in sales includes the OTC prime brokerage area where she served as a sales executive at Traiana, Inc. and at Misys plc, where she focused on OPICS, their treasury and capital markets solution. She also spent 12 years in the banking industry at Générale Bank as controller and head of middle office operations and at SEB as assistant controller.
