EBS launches Data Mine
EBS is making its historical FX data commercially available to the global FX trading community. EBS Data Mine provides unique and certified data for all currencies traded on EBS Spot since 1997. It is being offered to FX professionals from both the bank and non-bank trading communities, following significant customer demand for the data to feed into trading models and FX business strategies.
EBS historical data is captured from the trading activity generated by more than 2,000 traders on 800 trading floors around the world using the EBS Spot dealing system every day.Counterparties trading spot FX through EBS generate transactions worth USD 120 billion a day (single count). The data from their trading activity makes EBS the definitive source of reliable, transactional spot FX market data.
The volume and liquidity on the EBS Spot system means that the market data extracted from it provides a true view of the market ? not merely an indication ? giving professionals a significant competitive advantage.
EBS Data Mine includes certified data for all currencies on the EBS Spot Matching System from January 1997. The data available includes a currency identifier and time stamp, one-second time slice of EBS best (highest bid/lowest offer at the end of time slice) and one-second time slice of paid/given rate (lowest/highest rate dealt within time slice) . click here to return to the top of the page
