Sybase confirms Aleri purchase

Sybase has announced that it has finalized an Asset Purchase Agreement with Aleri Inc.
"With this transaction Sybase positions itself as a clear market leader in CEP. We have strengthened our real-time analytics platform, by adding Liquidity Risk Management and the industry leading Liquidity Management Suite," said Dr. Raj Nathan, Senior Vice President and CMO of Sybase. CEP is an integral part of real-time analytics and with this acquisition, Sybase hopes to strengthen its overall analytics platform and leadership position to better meet the needs of enterprises requiring real-time analytics processing.
