Currently working for a reputable alternatives investment firm managing over $50 billion. They have a huge focus to build out their commodities investment team this year which is engaged in momentum,relative value trading.
There is an opening for a senior commodity analyst to join. We are ideally looking for the following:
- Atleast 6 years experience working in the markets (including commodities experience)
- Background in alpha research, previous experience on the sell side developing trading signals and researching commodity futures and options is highly desirable
- Advanced knowledge on statistical modeling techniques and data analysis
- Preferably a PhD or exceptional Masters in a scientific/mathematical field
- Experience in using Matlab and R, rapid prototyping capability
- Excellent communication skills including presenting results and writing reports
- Able to convey complicated mathematical and financial concepts in a straightforward manner
