You must have a strong academic background (CS from a good university) and at least 3 years experience working as a linux system administrator. The firm is a highly regarded and well established quant trading firm headquartered in NYC but with a growing presence in London.

You will also have strong scripting such as ( Perl or Python or Shell ) and ideally some experience of OO programming languages too (such as C++ or Java or C# ). Experience with CISCO networks is also advantageous. Most of the in house development is written using functional programming languages so an appetite to learn new technologies is also important. Salary and experience level is flexible and will depend on your experience. My client is looking for outstanding technologists more than for a specific level of experience or salary bracket.
