Our client is a quickly growing quantitative hedge fund that
develops proprietary software for algorithmic trading in the
world's financial markets. Founded in 2005 by computer science
students, the firm has quickly grown to
become a major player in the international currency markets,
trading billions of dollars on a daily basis. Unlike other hedge
funds for which finance is the core, at the heart is its
technology.
Job Description:
Our client is excited to be growing its team. The candidates we are seeking should have a dual passion for technology and finance and a desire to learn and be a part of a focused team aiming to apply computer science techniques to trading in the real world. Successful candidates will be involved in supporting the technical and business operations of the entire team from end to end and should enjoy juggling the many simultaneous tasks and processes that a rapidly growing start-up faces.
Typical operational challenges:
- Managing and streamlining accounting, payroll, compliance, and auditing processes for legal entities
- Maintaining and improving trading relationships and obtaining required information from vendors and
- contacts
- Researching and administering hardware and networking systems that execute trading strategies with no human intervention
- Investigating and analyzing market structures and economics to develop trading strategies that gain an edge in the marketplace
- Successful candidates will work in a small, focused environment directly with founders and the rest of the
- software engineering team. There will be a lot of room for creativity, and candidates should be passionate about technology and finance and driven to learn and be challenged.
