Senior Analyst programmer
A niche Quantitative trading firm is seeking a senior Programmer to work on Equities Hi frequency trading applications. The ideal candidate should possess excellent OO programming skills as well as keen interests in trading and operational issues. They already have the infrastructure and strategies, but are lacking a software developer. Besides programming work experience he/she should have a bachelor degree in computer science, math, engineering, or physics. He/She should be able to define and analyze problems and then effectively find computer-oriented solutions using his/her strong programming skills. Examples of duties include:
• Create software for back testing research, live trading applications, and interface using vendors' APIs
• Assist with analysis, programming, and maintenance of real-time trading systems
• Analyze and debug system problems
Understanding the basics of Electronic Trading, Stat-arb + market making business
The desirable experience and skills are:
• 3+ years programming experience with C++, Linux
• Ability to understand and program multi-threaded real time applications
• Good knowledge of Unix and Windows
