"SunGard is working closely with brokers in Poland to help them understand and manage the risk associated with the WSE's migration to its new platform."

Warsaw, Poland - DnB NORD Polska, the Polish brokerage arm of DnB NORD, the Norwegian financial group and a member of the Warsaw Stock Exchange (WSE), has selected SunGard's Valdi trading solution to support its trading floor and provide connectivity to the WSE.

The Valdi suite will provide DnB Nord with a multi-asset class trading solution for multiple trading venues. Implementing Valdi will also help DnB Nord manage its transition to the WSE's new NYSE Euronext UTP trading platform in November.

Konrad Jeczen, IT director at DnB Nord S.A., said "We selected SunGard because of its experience in the Polish capital markets. SunGard's Valdi solution will support our trading on the WSE and will help mitigate the impact on our back office operations of the WSE's platform migration to X."

Philippe Carré, global head of connectivity for SunGard's capital markets business, said, "SunGard is working closely with brokers in Poland to help them understand and manage the risk associated with the WSE's migration to its new platform. Quick and easy to implement, our solutions are helping DnB Nord and other brokers leverage the full range of functionality that will be available on the new WSE trading platform."
