FIX Flyer announces general availability of Daytona 1.6
FIX Flyer has announced the release of Daytona 1.6 to the electronic trading community, the release is intended to enhance ease of use and features, and is based on feedback from its user base.
Daytona is a FIX Monitoring and Trade Management tool that can be simultaneously configured for both traders working on a business level and technical support group responsible for high speed, high volume FIX trading. Daytona supports any proprietary or commercial FIX engines such as the FIX Flyer Engine, QuickFIX, Cameron, or Appia.
Daytona 1.6 posts improvements for trading metrics such as average order acknowledgement time and network latency, custom tag and message support, session configuration information from an external source, rules based FIX session watchdogs, and highly configurable alerting to the screen or email.
Additionally, Daytona 1.6 adds support FIX Protocol version 5.0 for both Service Packs 1 and 2, and is fully prepared for any additional FIX Protocol updates as they are released.
Major new features in this release include:

· Cut and paste any view to the clipboard

· Real time updating capability of tens of thousands of trades per second
· User configurable column naming and layouts
· Message and tag based highlighting and coloring
· Ability to read in a FIX session list from a centrally defined external source, enhancing session management
· Comprehensive view management
· Tracing views that allow quick access by any identifying tag such as ClOrdID, OrderID,ExecID,OrigClOrdID,etc.
· A rules based session watchdog that detects unscheduled session drops
· Backward compatibility for all configuration and user preferences
· Many bug fixes
