Jochem In 't Velt, Custom Connect
Custom Connect, the provider of carrier-neutral, global managed connectivity and infrastructure services, has announced the appointment of the company's first Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Jochem In 't Velt recently joined the company to help strengthen Custom Connect's financial leadership and its commercial strategy.
In 't Velt, 40, has built a successful career in finance, which amongst other positions, includes almost a decade spent as an Investment Director at private equity firm AAC Capital Partners. In 't Velt also holds an International Relations degree in Industrial Engineering & Management from the University of Twente, Netherlands.
When asked to elaborate on his experience in helping companies deliver on their high-growth business strategies, In 't Velt said: "I have learned how to help companies grow in a controlled, yet rapid manner, however as a private equity investor you usually stand on the sidelines. Eventually my ambition to help run a company and to be part of a management team was too strong, so I searched for a successful company to be part of. Custom Connect seemed the ideal choice."
In 't Velt continued, "Custom Connect has an interesting, scalable business model with enormous growth potential. We are striving to build on the company's recent double figure growth. That said, growth itself is not always the main objective; what ultimately remains is the bottom line. This involves continuously focusing on our client portfolio, gross margins and cost management for the benefit of the customer."
Olav van Doorn, CEO of Custom Connect concluded, "The arrival of an industry heavyweight like Jochem In 't Velt is a significant strengthening of our management team. The announcement is further validation of our company strategy and that our international expansion is delivering results."
Alongside Van Doorn and In 't Velt on Custom Connect's management team are Jan Willem Meijer (co-founder and Global Sales Director), Dennis Warnar (Sales Director), Tony Kingsnorth (Chief Operating Officer) and Rutger Bevaart (Chief Technology Officer).
