Intercontinental Exchange announces agreement to acquire TMX Atrium from TMX Group

Atlanta and New York - Intercontinental Exchange has entered an agreement to acquire TMX Atrium, the extranet and wireless services business from TMX Group.

Terms of the agreement were not disclosed, and the transaction is expected to close within 90 days, subject to regulatory approvals.

TMX Atrium provides connectivity across 12 countries, more than 30 major trading venues, and wireless connectivity between the Toronto, New York and Chicago metro areas. TMX Atrium will become part of ICE Data Services and will be integrated with the Secure Financial Transaction Infrastructure.

In addition, the service will be offered alongside SFTI Wireless, provided by Anova Technologies, which offers connectivity between ICE's Mahwah data center and other co-location facilities in Carteret and Secaucus, New Jersey.
