Industry Developments
The
London Metal Exchange selected Cinnober as its new technology
partner. Cinnober will provide LME Clear with its TRADExpress
RealTime Clearing system.
KVH and Interactive Intelligence partnered to provide
cloud-based contact center business KVH CallPORT.
Analytics provider Numerix said it had published a paper that
establishes a new algorithmic method for calculating
counterparty exposure for exotic portfolios, with important
implications in the context of Basel III.
News from Brazil as Horizon Software announced the availability
of DMA to BM&FBOVESPA and Chi-FX Brazil started a participant
certification process. Developed in alliance with
BM&FBOVESPA, the Chi-FX platform is expected to launch in the
fourth quarter.
Borsa Italiana and the Johannesburg and Mongolian Stock Exchanges
all migrated to the LSE's trading platform Millennium Exchange.
Meanwhile, Fidessa upgraded its Canadian trading
platform.
Products and services
euNetworks extended its 8.8 Terabyte network
from London to Dublin, enabling a complete service portfolio
across Europe; Deutsche Bank launched an FX trading platform on Autobahn; Exegy
announced its new Journal & Replay product, a set of tools
designed to help businesses deluged with data; Interactive Data introduced a new version of
FutureSource Workstation, a platform designed for the energy,
commodities and futures markets; and Australia & New Zealand
banking group (ANZ) brokers can now employ Progress Apama's FX Aggregation Solution.

Having previously agreed to separate the roles of chairman and
CEO, BATS Global Markets announced the election of
former SEC commissioner Paul Atkins as chairman; MarketPrizm expanded its team in Asia with
the appointment of Cindy Yeo as a new director; and Annalisa
Sarasini joined smartTrade Technologies as Global Head of
Sales based in London.
ITRS named Mark Loader Head of Sales for the
Asia Pacific region; Tradition expanded the TraFXpure management team with two new hires;
and Nomura appointed Jacques Cailloux as Managing
Director and Chief European Economist.
