Caplin's streaming framework now fully supports Apple touch-screen devices

Paul Caplin, CEO, Caplin Systems: "We are excited to be adding the outstanding user interfaces offered by the iPhone and iPad."
Caplin Systems Ltd. has announced that following several months of trials with selected customers, Caplin Streamlink for iOS (SL4i) is now on general release. This extends the range of Caplin Liberator, which, the company says, now supports virtually all client technologies.
Caplin Liberator, Caplin's low-latency streaming server, is used to deliver real-time data and trading to browsers as well as to Windows and UNIX applications. Now SL4i adds the iPhone and iPad to the list of supported client devices. The new Apple products are rapidly gaining traction in institutional finance, as firms seek to provide ever more universal and convenient access to data and trading.
The availability of Caplin Streamlink for iOS adds to a product set which enables a single Caplin Liberator server to deliver data to a wide variety of devices including those running applications written for the native web as well as .NET, Microsoft Silverlight, Adobe Flex, Java, C, C++ and Microsoft Excel. Mobile devices based on Google's Android platform are already supported via Caplin Streamlink for Java (SL4J).
Paul Caplin, CEO, says, "Caplin's products already support a wide range of client technologies and devices, and we are excited to be adding the outstanding user interfaces offered by the iPhone and iPad. By using Caplin Liberator, either with Caplin Streamlink or as part of our full Caplin Xaqua single-dealer platform framework, our customers can now fully support iPhone and iPad users."
Caplin has submitted an app demonstrating the new technology to the Apple Appstore.
