Solace Systems and Tibco announce partnership to deliver new hardware-based messaging appliance

Solace Systems today announced a partnership agreement with TIBCO Software Inc. to help develop and manufacture a hardware appliance that capitalizes on TIBCOs messaging software technology and integrates fully into the TIBCO Rendezvous product family.

The TIBCO Messaging Appliance™ will offer throughput with ultra-low latency allowing throughput with ultra-low latency allowing organizations to accelerate data delivery while simplifying operations and substantially reducing datacenter footprint.

Hardware complements software by implementing core performance-sensitive operations in dedicated silicon to accelerate execution speeds and reduce latency. Through this partnership, Solace will act as TIBCO’s manufacturing partner to produce this new hardware platform for distribution as part of the TIBCO Rendezvous product family.
“The market requirement for lower latency and higher performance, particularly among financial services organizations, has never been greater,” said Denny Page, chief engineer for TIBCO Software Inc. “Our partnership with Solace enables TIBCO to enhance our Rendezvous product to define a new standard for performance, reliability and manageability.”
The TIBCO Messaging Appliance is scheduled for release in calendar Q4 2008.
