Automated Trader Magazine

London - 1530GMT, May 14th 2008 - Automated Trader has appointed William Essex as Editor. Essex’s brief is to capitalise on AT’s recent successes by investing to expand the title’s online and offline resources for the professional trading community.

William Essex, Editor, Automated Trader: “Automated Trader is as much a trading tool as a magazine, and I am delighted to be joining the team at such a critical moment.”

Already well-known in the industry, William Essex is a writer and broadcaster of more than twenty-five years’ experience. Author of many books, strategic reports and papers on technology, finance and investment, Essex began his career at the FT and has edited titles including Hedge Funds International. He has written for specialist journals including Wall Street & Technology, Global Finance and Finance & Technology.

Automated Trader’s expansion began earlier this year, with the opening of an office in Naples, Florida to reinforce the title’s US presence, and the first of a series of strategic investments in analytics relating to algorithmic/automated trading. Automated Trader's Founder and Chairman Andy Webb says, “Demand for our online analytical tools and resource base is increasing every trading day, and we are working to enhance both the depth and the sophistication of what we have to offer the industry. William Essex will play a critical role in driving forward these developments.”
