China Trade Surplus Widens to $31.7 Billion in June

BEIJING--China's trade surplus widened to $31.7 billion in June from $18.7 billion in May, data from the General Administration of Customs showed Tuesday.
The median forecast in a Dow Jones Newswires survey of 10 economists was for a $24.4 billion surplus.
Exports rose 11.3% in June from a year earlier, beating economists' expectations for a 9.0% increase. Exports rose 15.3% in May.
Imports rose 6.3%, compared with an expected 10.4% rise and May's 12.7% increase.
