Korea Investment Corp Names New Chairman Of Steering Committee

SEOUL -(Dow Jones)- Sovereign wealth fund Korea Investment Corp. Tuesday named Yun Ke-sop as the new chairman of its steering committee.

Korea Investment Corp. said in a statement that Yun fills the position vacated by Euh Yoon-dae, who became chief executive of South Korea's KB Financial Group Inc. in July. KIC's steering committee is the sovereign wealth fund's highest governing body, which decides on business policy and reviews management performance and other matters related to the fund's operations.

KIC, which manages more than $30 billion in assets, also said Hong Ky-ttack has been appointed a member of the steering committee. The appointment brings the number of members of the committee to nine.
