KPN: Getronics CEO Steps Down On "Agreeable Terms" By May 1

AMSTERDAM -(Dow Jones)- Dutch telecom company Royal KPN NV (KPN.AE) said Thursday that the chief executive of Getronics, a subsidiary, will step down by May 1 on "agreeable terms."

MAIN FACTS:

-Erik van der Meijden, CEO of KPN subsidiary Getronics, has decided to leave the company. He leaves on agreeable terms by May 1st, 2011.

-Mr Van der Meijden has been CEO of Getronics, a provider of workspace and ICT services, since KPN acquired the company in 2007. His efforts resulted in the successful integration with KPN of the ICT- and telecom services for the large enterprise market and he led Getronics into a new phase.

-Until a successor has been appointed Mr Steven van Schilfgaarde, CFO of Getronics, will take responsibility for Getronics.
