PARIS -(Dow Jones)- The Paris civil tribunal Thursday dismissed a case brought by Korea-based Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. (005930.SE) against U.S.-based electronics company Apple Inc. (AAPL) for patent infringement.

The court said there are no grounds for an immediate appeal.

A parallel case brought by Apple on separate charges of different patent violations is still being processed by the same court, a tribunal official said Thursday. A decision on that case is expected in the coming weeks.

The companies have sued each other in several countries for violating intellectual property rights related to their tablet computers.
