Statoil Sale Of Norwegian Continental Shelf Assets Closed

Norwegian oil and gas major Statoil ASA (STO) said Monday the transaction following the company's divestment and exit from several licenses on the Norwegian Continental Shelf in November last year is now closed.
MAIN FACTS:
-The buyer was the UK based energy company and established NCS player Centrica and the consideration was $1.53 billion.
-An additional payment of up to $100 million is contingent on future production performance of the Kvitebjorn asset.
-At 1328 GMT, shares were down 0.4% at NOK152.40.
