US OUTLOOK: Economists at RBC say the most important events next
wk are the FOMC Statement and Q1 GDP report. On FOMC they "do not
expect the Fed to announce any new policy actions and look for
the April statement to simply mark the economic backdrop to
market." Bernanke could talk about lack of payroll strength,
impact of mild weather, and further easing options at the press
conference. For Friday's GDP data, RBC sees +2% but says "be
prepared for some payback once the 2Q data begin to trickle in" -
ie a slowing.
