Headline CPI (Y/Y): -0.4%
Core CPI (aka ex BOC items Y/Y): 1.7%
Canadian May Headline CPI is expected to increase 0.3% m/m following a 0.1% decline in April. The y/y CPI headline pace is expected to decrease to 0.4% in May after increasing 0.4% prior.
Core CPI m/m is expected to edge up 0.2% after increasing 0.1% in April. Core CPI y/y is expected to rise 1.7% in May after jumping 1.8% prior.
Excluding food and energy, CPI is expected to rise 0.3% after increasing 0.1% in April.
The data will be released tomorrow at 7:00 a.m. by Statistics Canada
