PREVIEW: German Dec. s.a. trade balance seen narrowing to 15.3 bln from 17.2 bln in Nov.

The German trade balance is seen reducing slightly to 15.3 bln in December from 17.2 bln in November. The forecast is based on a reduction in exports whereas imports are seen holding up to a greater extent. Exports are forecast to rise 0.5% from the 1.6% rise in the previous month. Imports are seen to rise 2.7% after the fall of 5.9% in November. The data will be released on February 9, at 07:00 GMT. Earlier this month, the German economic ministry reported that in December foreign demand for German industrial products declined significantly.
