FOREX: The US dollar was nursing slight losses vs. the euro and the yen in New York afternoon dealings, the euro relinquishing gains scored earlier in the session after a late sovereign ratings downgrade undercut a euro rally. The US dollar starts in Asia this morning with the euro seeing little support despite mildly positive comments from European officials, as the overall trend remains down. Dollar-yen is at Y91.60 against Y91.48 in late New York trade overnight while euro-yen is at Y111.87 vs Y112.01. Euro-dollar is at $1.2214 compared with $1.2244 overnight.
