  At a press conference being held on Parliament Hill right now, the President of the Canadian Association of Auto-dealers called on the Canadian federal government to signal support for auto-dealers along with support for auto-manufacturers. "Any effort to support the auto-sector must be accompanied by instructions to the banking industry to continue to support small, sound businesses," said Richard Gautier, referring to auto-dealerships. Canadian Auto dealers employ more than 100K people in Canada. "We are advising government that they have to take the issue of retreating credit into account," he said, explaining that auto-dealers are experiencing difficulty even in Canada raising the funding they need to maintain inventory.
