    The S&P/TSX is up 0.52%. Teck is up 11.93% and New Gold jumped 12.79%. Quadra is up 12.41% today.

    According to a press release from TSX Group the company that run the Canadian benchmark index, 38 symbols were halted due to techinical issues but have now resumed trading.
