<title><![CDATA[Q3 Profits High for Cameco]]></title>

<description><![CDATA[Cameco Q3 profit exceed analyst&acirc;€™ estimates in result of electricity sales and lower taxes in uranium prices.  Profits excluding one-time items were 41 cents/share which exceeded the 39-cent average estimate of 14 analysts surveyed by Bloomberg.  Sales rose by 7% to C$729mln.  Cameco who owns 32% of Bruce Power nuclear power operation lowered 2008 uranium forecast by 9.7% due to operational problems.  In the TSX Cameco fell 5.8%, by C$1.14 to C$18.60.  This reflects a 53% share decline for this year.  Bruce Power earnings rose 42% to C$61mln with income expense of C$2mln.  Cameco&acirc;€™s uranium revenue fell 3.2% as its average selling price for nuclear-reactor fuel fell 28% to $37.8/pound a year earlier.  Q3 production of uranium for Cameco fell 36% to 2.7mln pounds.  Company&acirc;€™s output set to double by 2016 as Cameco is investing uranium exploration and development in Africa, Australia and Northern Canada.  Q3 net income rose 39cents/share by 48% to C$135mln due to not repeating costs from a 2007 agreement with Kyrgyz Republic.  ]]></description>
