European debt futures sold off as stock markets found some solace in yesterday's co-ordinated central bank moves. Gilts are underperforming Bunds as the ECB keeps pumping liquidity into the market. Money market rates remain high, however. Elsewhere Iceland's biggest bank Kaupthing was nationalized. The local calendar had German August trade data and the UK Aug goods trade deficit. UK house prices fell 1.3% m/m and 12.4% 3m y/y in September, according to Halifax. As of 10:10GMT the December 10-year Bund future is down 103 ticks at 115.83 and the corresponding Gilt future is down 67 ticks at 112.72. In the cash market the 10-year Bund yield is up 10 bp at and the 10-year Gilt yield up 7 bp at 4.36%. By comparison stock markets are higher (DAX 0.95%, FTSE 100 1.61% as of 9:56 GMT).
